Who Are The "Heavenly Helpers"?

Heavenly Helpers is a Mission Team created for all those in need regardless of race, faith or social standing.

Heavenly Helpers was created by members of St. John's and St. Mark's congregations in 2006 after Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. Since the first trip to Ocean Springs, MS in 2007, there have been almost 20 more trips taken all over the country.

There is usually a trip in the spring and a trip in the fall with perhaps, some local projects in between. Natural disasters have increased since this mission team began and what was thought to be a year or two project has turned into traveling to other places where there is need for help.

This help comes in all different aspects. There is need for carpentry, plumbing, painting, building and praying. Most have learned skills they never even expected to learn. Some are really good listeners as many need to talk about their experiences. All that is needed is a Servants Heart and the will to help others.

The feeling of warmth and love that comes from serving others is the greatest joy ever experienced.

What Can You Do?

If you are willing to help others, please consider joining Heavenly Helpers. There is something everyone can do to help, regardless of skill level. If you are unable to travel, consider helping with a local project, assisting with a fundraiser, or making a donation.
